Twenty years. Wow.

That’s two decades of building, breaking, fixing, growing, learning – and of course —believing. Believing in our mission. Believing in our team. Believing in the idea that technology, done right, could not only solve problems but make people’s lives fundamentally better.

I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. From our humble beginnings as scruffy college kids with not much of a clue, to becoming a nationally recognized tech firm and Inc 5000 company, our journey hasn’t always been linear—but it’s been driven by a clear purpose to drive impact with tech.

But if the first 20 years were the prologue, what comes next is the real narrative.

Because here’s the truth: despite the disruption of AI, the fundamentals of business have not changed. They never do. It still comes down to intelligent, thoughtful analysis of the market and delivering a solution to that market that drives real value for your customers.

Success is still in the execution and that starts with hiring exceptional people from diverse backgrounds. It still rewards those who choose action over inaction, and boldness over meekness. These are the principles that built Slingshot, and they’ll carry us forward.

That said, the tactics? They’re evolving faster than ever. The rise of AI has altered the landscape in a way few innovations ever have. It’s not just a new tool—it’s a new frontier. AI is reshaping how problems are solved, how software is built, and how teams operate.

Roles have shifted, new roles will be created, and yes—many roles will disappear. Fear, change, destruction, and rebirth go hand in hand. That’s a hard truth. But fear isn’t something to run from; it’s a signal. A signal to re-tool, re-train, and re-think. Because those who are brave enough to lead through this moment, to lean into change rather than shy away, will be the ones who come out ahead.

At Slingshot, that’s exactly what we intend to do.

We’re not here to adopt AI—we’re here to lead with it. We’re not just evolving how we operate internally or how we deliver value to clients. We’re actively reimagining who we are, how our brand shows up in the world, and how we connect with the people we serve. AI is changing not only what we do—but how the world interacts. And we must meet that change with vigor, excitement, and courage.

This is not the time for half-measures. I’ve seen where those lead.  A decade ago, we had a defining moment—one that almost ended us. At the time, we were operating under a different name: igNew. We didn’t move fast enough. We weren’t bold enough. And it nearly cost us everything.

But with the destruction of igNew, came the rise of Slingshot.  A better company born not just from ambition, but from the hard lesson that comfort is the enemy of progress. We became bolder. Hungrier. More focused on leadership and innovation.

Now, as we stand at the edge of the next 20 years, I see a similar inflection point ahead—not a moment to fear, but one to seize.

So here’s my promise: the Slingshot of tomorrow will be re-born – again – driven by relentless ambition. At our core, we will continue to harness the full force of technology to drive meaningful, measurable impact. We won’t flinch. We won’t ease up. No mercy will be shown.  We will pursue every path, adopt every tool, and challenge every assumption in the name of delivering greater value to our customers. Our team will lead the charge with clarity and conviction.

The future is now and after 20 years, we’re just getting started.
