About this Role

Slingshot is on the hunt for a talented and passionate Senior AI Developer who thrives at the intersection of full-stack development and artificial intelligence. You’ll be helping us push the envelope of what’s possible by building modern software with AI-first principles in mind. We’re not just adding AI to projects, we’re fundamentally changing how software is designed and delivered.

You’ll serve as both architect and hands-on developer, leveraging your full-stack experience (ideally in Node.js, React, React Native but not required) and your AI toolbelt (think Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to lead projects from discovery to deployment. You’ll also collaborate closely with our design team and product managers to shape intelligent, intuitive user experiences.

You’ll help Slingshot, and our clients, stay ahead of the curve by architecting scalable, secure cloud applications (web and mobile apps), mentoring devs on your team, and continually exploring how new AI capabilities can accelerate delivery and enhance user outcomes.

Your Focus Will Include

• Designing full-stack applications and architectures that leverage modern web, mobile, and cloud technologies
  
• Leading projects as the technical head, managing code quality and mentoring teammates
  
• Applying AI-first development practices, using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Copilot, and others
  
• Rapidly building prototypes and proof-of-concepts using AI tools to shorten development cycles
  
• Primarily working on Node.js, React, React Native, PostgreSQL while sometimes working with .NET Core, C#, Angular, and Vue.js, depending on the project
  
• Creating robust APIs, and cloud-native backends primarily in AWS and Azure
  
• Acting as an internal evangelist for AI innovation, helping Slingshot continuously evolve how we build software

• Knows how to build for scale and reliability in a cloud environment (especially AWS)
• Writes clean, testable, and well-documented code
  
• Can clearly communicate architecture and technical decisions
  
• Is infinitely curious and not afraid to experiment or fail fast
