About this Role
Slingshot is looking to hire a talented and passionate Business Analyst. In this role you’ll be in charge of uncovering and analyzing business requirements alongside Slingshot product owners and translating those to detailed technical requirements, epics, and stories for the development team.
You’ll work directly with Slingshot clients, including executives, key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and wherever the trail takes you. You’ll advocate for the Slingshot team, gathering information whenever needed for the product owners, designers, developers, and QA analysts.
You’ll be expected to have experience in tech, and be excited overall about working within a software driven environment.
We’re looking for someone who loves people, is confident, detail oriented, and loves chasing down information and solving problems. We want someone with an investigative mindset and has a tenacious mentality to get the information they need for the rest of their team members.
Summary
- Collaborates with clients and internal team members to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the software being built
- Researches and analyzes business requirements, including coordination of calls, meetings, and emails with appropriate client personnel to track down information
- Creates and maintains software documentation including writing and maintaining business requirements, technical specifications, epics, and stories
- Collaborates with the Product Owner to ensure the needs of the client have been met.
- Researches and analyzes change requests, understanding the full implications, and translating those into additional requirements, epics, and stories
- Has a background in software development
- Enjoys working with people and loves tech
Required skills & expertise
- 3+ years of related BA experience working on web and/or mobile products
- Familiarity with product and software development techniques and agile methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
- Great team player with respect for others, yet able to work independently
