About the role
We’re looking for a Product Lead to own the delivery of software engagements for our clients. You’ll partner with designers, engineers, QA, and clients to turn ambiguous business problems into shipped product. AI is a core part of how we work at Slingshot, not a bolt-on, and we want someone excited to build that way.
Flexible hours and a remote-first culture. This role is nearly 100% remote, with occasional in-person attendance for team events and client meetings as they arise. You should be located within the Greater Louisville metro area.

What you’ll do
- Own the product lifecycle on client engagements, from discovery through launch and iteration
- Manage client relationships end to end, including contract conversations, expectation setting, and proactive communication that builds long-term trust
- Lead daily standups, manage the backlog, and write clear user stories
- Make the hard trade-offs between scope, quality, and speed
- Partner directly with client stakeholders as the voice of the product
- Keep the internal team aligned on what matters and why
- Bring AI into the work to move faster on research, specs, and analysis
- Help the broader team find new ways to apply AI across our process
- Stay curious about how we work and push us to evolve as the tools get better
What we’re looking for
- Product management experience on web or mobile software, with a clear sense of how the full lifecycle fits together
- An excellent communicator who can hold a room, write clearly, and translate between business and technical audiences
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI and a habit of experimenting with it in your own workflow
- Comfort in challenging existing processes and proposing better ones
- Someone within driving distance of the Greater Louisville metro area
- Sharp product instincts, calm under pressure, and a bias toward shipping
Strongly preferred
- Willingness to represent Slingshot externally at meetups, conferences, and client events
- Excitement about talking publicly about how you run projects and how AI is changing the way we build
- You don’t need a speaking resume on day one, but you should be excited about building one
Bonus points
- Prior engineering or design experience
- Consultancy or agency background
- Experience introducing AI tooling to a team and measuring the impact
